Welcome to The Book Of! My first blog post is going to thank you for purchasing The Book Of! Your purchase goes to support the 2 wonderful young men you have seen on this site. 🙂
I will say it again, my dream is to bring assistance to families and young adults living with disabilities.
To bring them transportation, housing, and living needs that are not currently met. I have met too many young individuals who have disabilities that don’t know how they are going to work, don’t know where they are going to live.
Even though there are programs available, quite a few young people with disabilities fall between the cracks. These young adults are motivated, they want to work. Young people want to be independent but are running out of options. How to get transportation, how to live on their own.
Their families are at a loss and don’t know how to direct their children. Me being one of those parents. I feel like we are in some weird in-between space. Sometimes I feel I let him down. Not being better prepared. But it will be ok. 🙂
“The world sometimes still looks at the disability and not the person”.
This comes from a recent post of one of my son’s friends. To hear this can be disheartening. That’s why I always encourage my children and their friends. They are a great group of kids!
As we move forward, I will post progress toward those goals. I am excited to introduce The Book Of and look forward to many happy days of organizing.
There are going to be a few pages you will use a lot of. To begin I am adding these for download. One is just a list of appointments for both books. The schedule downloads are pages that include a section for notes.
Here is a link for a Mini Hole Punch that I used for some of my pages on Amazon sold by staples. I really liked it. If not you may also want to get a single hole punch at Walmart like this one to use for both the large and the min binder.
